UPVA Awards

This week at the UPVA Awards Banquet I received a couple of wall decorations to prove that I was on the board of directors this year and last year and a Gold Medal. Last year I received a Silver Medal and another one of those wall decorations because I've been on the board since 2005.

UPVA

I have been on the board of directors for the Utah Professional Videographers Association (UPVA) for the past two years and now going into my third year. This year my task on the board is Secretary. I'm excited about it this year because there are some great goals each board member has and it looks like we are all on the same page with where we'd like to take the UPVA.

In case you were wondering the UPVA is a professional organization aimed at raising the standard of video production in Utah, specifically event and wedding videography. You can visit the website here. Yes "videography" is a real word. Even though you can use photography in the same way as videography but videographers will probably be offended by that because their camera shoots more frames a second... anyway. Me personally, I will stick with photographer.
